The Movement Project a series of 3 sessions (online until further notice)
Living closer to the dreaming Saturday afternoons 3 pm -6 pm Two blocks: Block 1: 20 March - 24 April - 22 May Block 2: 4 Sept - 2 Oct - 6 Nov
We will work in movement and spoken word creating the poetry that comes through our bodies and our patterns.
Do you ever feel stuck with the ways you are in your life? Often feel like you are in a loop and can’t fully step out? Long for a break, an insight, wisdom to lead a fuller life? Over the three sessions we step into the exploration of our patterns, especially those that trip us up. We will
identify the pattern, for example, I go quiet when I don’t like something in relationship.
find out what this pattern gives us, for example, it helps me to avoid conflict or to lick my wounds.
notice how this pattern has served us, at times saved our lives, protected us or created safety.
notice how the pattern creates an edge to who I can be in my life.
notice the belief system that organizes our behaviour, for example, Iavoid conflict otherwise I will feel bad about myself.
notice how this impacts our relationships, and stops us from having healthy relationships with ourselves, with others, in our world of work, family and friends.
uncover body symptoms and night time dreams that go along with this strategy or behaviour.
find an inner ally/inspiration to uncover a new way of being, developing a new pattern to try out in the different areas of our lives.
Cost: £50 per session or or pay upfront for one block £120. Or book for both blocks £240. The group will be between 4 -6 people.
Who is it for
Those who are interested in discovering more about their own life journey, and wanting to explore it more fully in movement and being a witness. Movement is a physical and emotional language and we listen and respond to our bodies in the moment with presence. Witnessing and being witnessed support us to grow with integrity. In the one to one we work with what emerges, this could be a challenging issue or bringing awareness to what is ready to be received, or you might explore and deepen something that arises in the moment through the dance. This is a combination of dance and Process Work (underpinned by Open Floor Therapy in Motion), we create change in ourselves and therefore support change in the world around us.
