5Rhythms - Open Floor - Process Work
When we suffer from anxiety and stress, our body is calling us back home. Dancing brings goodness into our body and soul, and the more we dance to more we feel at home in our body.
Have you lost your sense of joy, or your connection with your self?
Do your path with heart feels vague and far away?
Do you feel you have no time for yourself, you need a break, life is too much?
Do you long for meaningful connection with others?
Do you desire a sense of fun and lightness within a group?
Conscious dance is the way back home, a way into belonging to a tribe that can hold you when you feel lost, alone or isolated.
With 5Rhythms dance and Open Floor movement we move our bodies to music. We connect with the beat and melody, and discover moments of joy and connection. This is a practise we do regularly to build our resilience for when the knocks of life beat us down. The dance deepens as we become familiar with the rhythms, patterns and moods in our bodies. It allows for the possibility of freedom in our bodies and a dance untamed by our beliefs and perceptions of what we think is 'right'. We dance ourselves free!
In Process Work we have the opportunity to touch on what is at the edge of our awareness, discovering and integrating new ways of being, and understanding of why we feel isolated or anxious. Through facilitation you connect to your soul's dreaming that often is hidden by demands from everyday life and relationships.
Movement classes are ideal as an introduction to the dance practise and also give us the opportunity to practise regularly in a group.
Workshops provide the opportunity to delve into a theme and deepen our movement practise.
One to one Process Work sessions are ideal for individual or couple exploration of themes, patterns, issues or dreams in words and movement. These are uniquely tailored to support your life process or relationship journey.
Living Closer to the Dreaming is a series of sessions over a period of time with a maximum of 6 - 10 people. An opportunity to dance, and experience a one to one facilitation. You learn simple tools to support yourself.
I am grateful for Creative Scotland for providing funding for my ongoing development as a teacher and facilitator. They provided a sponsorship towards an ongoing movement training I did between 2014 and 2016 with Andrea Juhan called Undercurrents.
